Which brand of good whisk(e)y to chose I'm trying to impress my friends!?

I will invite friends to my new good looking apartment ages between 24-40

I need something taste good,not cheap but not expensive to something i want to show of my price range something no more then $70 American dollars

People coming will probably shoot whisky so don't tell me single malts some of them will drink ont the rocks maybe and maybe some will mix it with soft drinks so

I don't want cheap staff and crap like JD or JB

This is what i can think of right now i need something to show of of my price range

1)JW-Gold label
2)Chivas Regal-18yrs
3)Crown Royal
4)JW-black label but i think this is to common one and every body sick of this staff drinking it to often lol
5)Makers Mark but i never tried it my self so i don't know

So you can chose from my list or sugest me some others remember i need something good,show of and taste good with good quility

You know if you just asked a few friends including these guests what they like it would be much better. Why not consult with the sale rrepresentative at the local shop where you plan on making this purchase?
