My everyday is Jim Beam.
wowwhatisthatthing: see Pappy's at ttp://www.oldripvanwinkle.com. Pricey stuff. The 23 year limited edition is $399 at http://www.internetwines.com/vanwinkle.html - but I've never had any. They make a $100 bottle that is aged 10 years in charred white oak, and another 10 in used brandy casks. Very good stuff. I'm not sure that it's twice as good as a $50 bottle of Booker's, but it will definitely impress your friends.
Doc - I agree about the Woodford Reserve. Didn't someone outside of Kentucky make a "Presidential" reserve, or similar name? Was it Jack Daniels? Thanks for the tip and here's cheers to Sam Houston!

Special occassions I would say its a toss between two. Woodford reserve and 1792. Both are excellent on the rocks and a good smooth Bourbon.
I do like Knob Creek for mixers but on the rocks it has a rather stout kick.
I know you said to stick with Kentucky but my everyday Bourbon is Sam Houston which is distilled out of Houston. This is a outstanding Bourbon that ranks up there with some of the best for about 20 bucks. I also have drank my share of Beam but as I get a little older I like to experiment. I have learned one valuable lesson though... more expensive doesn't always equal better bourbon.
