Does "STRAIGHT" Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Canadian Club etc. have any carbohydrates in them ?
I mean if i have these with diet coke does it mean im consuming zero carbs ?
Does anyone here know what a carbohydrate is? It is any of a large group of compounds (the largest of the biomolecules) that contains only carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Ethanol (the alcohol we drink) is C2H5OH. Does anyone see anything but carbon, hydrogen and oxygen? No. Alcohol is a carbohydrate, with a very high caloric content (approaching that of a fat). You aren't consuming any carbs as would be indicated on a "nutrition facts" label because these limit which carbs are considered (for instance all sugars are carbohydrates but they are always listed separately from "carbs") but you are indeed consuming carbs, and more importantly, calories.
